Irish 31’s non-profit, the iCare Foundation, recently launched the Cheers to PUBlic Service initiative in conjunction with our Pillar Partners: DeBartolo Family Foundation, Junior League of Tampa, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Ed Morse Cadillac Brandon and the Outback Bowl. The purpose of this program is to recognize and celebrate the IRISH (Influential, Reliable, Impassioned, Selfless and Humble) found in those that have an undeniable impact on our youth.
In 2018, the foundation received over 400 nominations for legendary teachers and coaches throughout Hillsborough and Pasco counties, and awarded $20,000 to 20 carefully selected teachers in May, followed by $20,000 to 20 hand-picked youth coaches in December. The program returns in 2019 with the goal of finding the 20 most deserving teachers and youth coaches in our two counties, and giving them each $1,000 to spend how they please. Nominations are now being accepted for teachers through April 15th at Irish31.com/Cheers.
